Our interior design focus is directed toward high-quality working and living spaces. Services include programming, space planning, furniture and equipment selection, construction observation, and move-in coordination.

The firm’s planning and design teams incorporate internationally recognized consultants according to the specific requirements of each project. Employment of outside structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers as well as specialty consultants has always been the firm’s standard practice and is one of the factors that have enabled the firm to work in a variety of geographic locations.

Establishment of a realistic budget at the beginning of a project is essential. Our success in cost control is based on budget breakdowns of major project elements and systems. Each sub-system is designed to meet a sub-budget and monitored through each phase of the design process. As modifications are required, the concepts of value analysis and life-cycle costing are applied as decision-making tools. Close collaboration between all design team members, cost experts, and the client guarantee delivery of a successful project.

Technology has now made it possible for our firm to create 3-D digital models, animated sequences and digital renderings. These capabilities, in addition to scaled presentation models and hand drawn renderings, allow for greater flexibility in the exploration of design options and the description of design ideas.

Lohan Anderson incorporates “green” sustainable features in every project we design, regardless of a pursuit for LEED certification. Our firm is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has an active in-house review process for every project in the office. Regardless of formally registering for LEED certification, creating a design and then building it to LEED standards, guides and governance is a team effort that requires collaboration and commitment from the client, design team and contractor. LEED status can be achieved when these three entities work together, from the onset of a project, with this goal in mind.
