As an Associate Principal, Michael Barnes leads project teams in the development of a project’s design and is an integral member of the firm’s management leadership. One of Mr. Barnes’ strengths is the breadth of project types he has designed. His experience includes the design of public libraries, hospitality venues, and corporate headquarters, as well as religious and academic buildings.
Specifically, Mr. Barnes has designed award-winning public libraries for Chicago, Orland Park, Elmhurst and Des Plaines, Illinois; and other award recipients such as the Ravinia Festival Dining Pavilion, Chicago Sinai Temple, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and Calamos Investments’ Headquarters.
Michael has also been an invited Visiting Instructor of Architectural Design and Guest Reviewer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has given lectures and tours of his design work.
