The Norfolk regional offices of the FBI are located in a three story, 120,000 sf office building located in an office park in Chesapeake, Virginia. The project was privately developed and leased back to the General Services Administration with the FBI as a tenant. Great care was given to meet the high level security requirements without creating a fortress in an urban setting.
Continuous ribbon windows provide daylight and views to the office tenants. An annex building contains vehicle maintenance and forensic laboratories.
The composite steel and concrete structure is clad in a pre-cast concrete and glass curtain wall.
